I thought you might like to see what's been happening at my house the last couple of months! It all started when we decided to get a new fence which then progressed into a full blown landscaping project! How did that happen?
This is what our garden looked like in the Summer:

 So we started by re-doing the fence:

 Then clearing the entire garden - we only left the apple tree at the back and the lemon tree at the front:

 And this is the finished product. Inspiration was taken from the stone houses and stone walls in Provence and soft mossy grass was laid. We will add solar lighting and a table and chairs on the deck (not shown). I cannot wait to start and enjoy it.

What a transformation! Very nice indeed. We redid our backyard many years ago: actually filled in the in-ground pool, jack hammered the cement, dumped the outlying bushes into this huge hole, added fill etc. I wish I had taken before and after photos! It's been a wonderful green oasis ever since. Enjoy your new space!
