Office project

Last month I bought four antique prints from Alameda antiques market (see earlier post when I bumped into Eddie Ross). They are birds egg prints and in good condition and I managed to get money off!!! I finally framed them with matting yesterday and placed them in my office. I am so pleased with how they look.

The prints were not standard sizes and I thought I was going to have to have the matting custom cut.... but I found these cream mats that actually cropped a little of the border, but I think it looks fine.

The frames are sort of antiqued bronze.

I had them hung behind my desk and they really dress up the corner.

What do you think?

  2. Wonderful job matting and framing the egg prints. Eggs are my favorite, and I might add perfect food. The shape is inviting and safe, free of any sharp edges. The symbol, perhaps new life, new beginings.
The formal party at the Water Bar was delicious. More details to share in person.
    See you soon,
    Laura
